A Moment I’ll Never Forget - Winning the Desenio Art Award
Some moments in life make you stop for a second and really take it all in. Winning the Painter of the year at Desenio Art Award was one of those moments for me.
I feel incredibly grateful and honored. To have my art recognized in this way means more to me than I can fully put into words. As an artist, you spend so much time creating, exploring, questioning yourself, and hoping that what you put into the world will resonate with someone. To know that my work has touched others is a feeling I will carry with me for a long time.
Sometimes I think about my younger self, the girl who was just beginning to discover her creativity and the world of possibilities ahead of her. If I could tell her that one day she would win an art award and attend a gala celebrating her work, I think she would have been so proud. And I think she would have been excited to know that the journey was only just beginning.
Attending the gala was an honor in itself, but what made the evening truly special was sharing it with the people I love. Having my friends and my husband there to support me, celebrate with me, and be part of this moment meant everything. Their encouragement reminds me how lucky I am to have people around me who believe in me and my work.
This award has given me even more courage to keep creating, to trust my instincts, and to continue exploring the ideas and emotions that inspire my paintings. Art is such a personal journey, and sometimes all you need is a little reminder that you are on the right path.
